| October 1984 | Moved from Hinckley to Aylesbury, just in time to watch "The Five Doctors". |
| May 1985 | First computer bought (an Amstrad CPC464). |
| September 1986 | Started at Bedgrove School. Bullied remorselessly. |
| June 1987 | First known date of me acting I certainly start appearing in the Christmas and end-of-year school plays a lot from this time on. |
| Sometime in 1988 | Parents divorced, father moved to Germany. |
| Summer 1990 | Moved from Aylesbury to Skipton. |
| September 1990 | Started at Aireville School, intent on a fresh start, only to face more bullying. |
| September 1991 | Transferred to Ermysted's Grammar School Over the next few years, the bullying gradually stops. |
| Spring 1993 | Started Saturday job at local model shop. |
| Summer 1993 | The family acquire an IBM PC. |
| Spring 1995 | First discovered the location of Skipton Little Theatre, and joined the Skipton Players. |
| May 1995 | I got my first big part, as Andy in "Getting On" by Alan Bennett. |
| Summer 1997 | Finished school, work, and (temporarily) involvement with SLT, to go to university in Edinburgh. |
| October 1997 | Queen Margaret University College's term noticeably started, along with the fencing club. |
| November 1998 | While I'm not looking, the family moved to Scarborough. |
| December 1998 | I bought a motorbike and rode it home for Christmas I first acquired the nickname "Dangerous". |

| January 1999 | In the aftermath of a small accident on the way back to Edinburgh, I got thrown out of university for the first time. | ||
| 19/08/1999 | Despite inviting everybody I knew to my 21stbirthday party, the only one to turn up was my sister. | ||
| October 1999 | Started 2nd year of university again Encounter Ian. Scripts became the new focus. |

| May 2000 | Thrown out of university for second time, as scripts were now taking up too much time. Started job in pub. |

| August 2000 | Fired from pub job due to "overstaffing". | ||
| October 2000 | Started working towards my fencing qualifications. | ||
| February 2001 | Lack of money forced me from Edinburgh with my fencing qualifications unfinished. | ||
| March 2001 | Visited father in Germany, mainly to help finish his garden and earn some money. | ||
| May 2001 | Completed my fencing qualifications. | ||
| December 2001 | Started work as a temp at Bradford and Bingley. | ||
| February 2002 | Circumstances allowed me to rejoin the Skipton Players. | ||
| May 2002 | I played a major part and choreographed the sword-fight in "Maskerade", a Discworld play. | ||
| July 2002 | Spend a day as an Extra, making "Calendar Girls" Commissioned to write a pantomime for Skipton Players' next season. The two events are not connected. |

| August 2002 | I met my first long-term girlfriend. | ||
| October 2002 | I moved into my first rented flat. | ||
| December 2002 | My relationship broke up, I finished performing the biggest part in a play I've had so far, and I got fired, all within the space of five days. | ||
| May 2003 | My first full-length play was inspired by a dream, and I managed to secure a performance slot for it at Skipton Little Theatre. | ||
| July 2003 | I finally got a piece of paper proving I can use a computer, like I've been saying for the past 15 years. | ||
| August 2003 | Ian and I took the decision to perform our material at next year's Edinburgh festival. Other than that, I turned 25 with ignominy. |

| October 2003 | Back on stage as rehearsals for "Haunted" by Eric Chappell start. Also back in work, at Craven District Council. |

| December 2003 | "Haunted" got rave reviews, as did the Theatre's Christmas fund-raiser, for which I wrote a piece. | ||

| 10/01/2004 | I made a huge mistake when I travelled down to London for a party. | ||
| February 2004 | The second annual Goon Show Tribute night raised £76.05 for Amnesty International. This amount beat last year's by £6.05. |

| March 2004 | Finally fail to raise sponsorship for the Edinburgh show. | ||
| 15/07/04 | Appointed Webmaster for Skipton Players. | ||
| August 2004 | In what was the best weekend of my life, I volunteered to be a Feegle, and won 1st Prize in Class and Best In Show at the Discworld Convention 2004 Maskerade. | ||
| September 2004 | Out of work again. | ||
| December 2004 | Back in work, but that doesn't stop me applying for jobs in theatres. I suspect my CV never actually gets read - I have ten years experience, and most jobs only require two, so I should at least have been getting interviews. |

| February 2005 | Resigned from SLT Committee in protest at internal inconsistencies and being taken for granted. | ||
| June 2005 | I got to play a lead role at last - Jack Worthing in "The Importance of Being Earnest" by Oscar Wilde. | ||
| July 2005 | I went camping for the first time in 20 years at the ClareCraft DiscWorld Event 2005. | ||
| August 2005 | I moved down to London to facilitate getting a job in a theatre. | ||
| Octboer 2005 | I began my GURPS Transfer Project, so I can play a decent RPG without having to cheat. | ||
| November 2005 | I entered NaNoWriMo for the first time, and won! | ||
| Christmas 2005 | Spent my Christmas holidays completely redesigning this website. | ||
| 22/01/2006 | I started the BeerMonster Webcomic. | ||
| August 2006 | Went to the Discworld Convention 2006 over my birthday weekend. Disctictly not the best weekend of my life. |

| 22/09/06 | Stepped down as Skipton Players' Webmaster. | ||
| 31/10/06 | Completed the GURPS Transfer Project, just in time for... | ||
| November 2006 | NaNoWriMo 2006. In which I used the GURPS system to determine the action of my novel. |

| 08/01/07 | An amazing sense of deja vu. | ||
| February 2007 | I get a sense of a new start after an encounter at Redemption '07. | ||
| May 2007 | The possibility of a new start gets completely washed down the drain. | ||
| 22/06/07 | After two years with no pay rise, and being paid less than the Living Wage, I quit my job and look for something else. | ||
| August 2007 | I ASM for my first professional production - "Woodcut" by Gary Brashier at the White Bear Theatre, Kennington. | ||
| 01/10/07 | I start some Web programming courses with the Open University. | ||
| November 2007 | NaNoWriMo 2007. A direct sequel to last year's using the same methods. |

| 07/12/07 | I publish my first book through lulu.com. | ||
| 13/02/08 | Sign off in disgust at the incompetence of the local jobcentre. | ||
| Easter 2008 | Best Con ever! | ||
| 04/04/08 | My second book gets published. | ||
| 27/04/08 | Lack of money and inability to get a job force me to move back to Yorkshire. | ||
| 24/06/08 | Back on the stage at SLT with "Busybody". | ||
| August 2008 | Went to DWCon08. Met a very lovely young Irish woman who became my girlfriend. |

| September 2008 | Began helping to organise the first Irish DiscWorld Convention as the Programme Head. | ||
